We did a very nice 5-mile winter hike
on the Des Plaines River Trail.
Walking in snow is very demanding, but
the trail was beautiful and un-crowded!
A highlight of the hike was the tasty
freeze-dried lasagna lunch. The hike
allowed 3 Scouts to complete the hiking
requirement for Second Class rank.
