Owasippe 3 Night Camp Out
News from St. Juliana Boy Scout Troop 965
The Boy Scouts of St. Juliana just returned from a 3-night camping trip over Easter Break that took us to the Owasippe Scout Reservation in Michigan. We spent two nights camped on the shore of Lake Wolverine and another night sleeping under the stars at remote Bass Lake. We backpacked to Bass Lake with all of our gear, went fishing and boating, and watched the stars at night. On another afternoon we fired off model rockets which we had built before the trip.
Our next camping weekend is to Warren Dunes along with the Webelos Scouts of Pack 3965. The Dunes trip is an annual outing that everyone enjoys.
After that we start preparing for longer summer outings. A crew of older Scouts is prepping for a six-day canoe trip in the Boundary Waters Wilderness of northern Minnesota in June and the whole Troop is starting to think about a week at summer camp in July.
If you are thinking about joining the Troop this is a great time to check us out.
